Japanese Ambassador Underscores Potential of Iraqi Market

The Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Akira Endo, reiterated Japan’s commitment to strengthening trade relations with Iraq, highlighting the growing interest of Japanese companies in the Iraqi market. Speaking on Sunday, Endo emphasized that 23 Japanese companies were participating in the Japanese pavilion at the Baghdad International Fair, demonstrating Japan’s dedication to enhancing both commercial and cultural ties with Iraq.

Ambassador Akira Endo remarked that the strong presence of Japanese businesses at the fair reflects Japan’s deep interest in Iraq’s market. He pointed out that the pavilion provides an excellent opportunity for the Iraqi public to discover the high quality and innovation of Japanese products. The ambassador also mentioned that the Japanese embassy will organize cultural events during the fair to showcase different aspects of Japanese culture to the Iraqi people.

On the sidelines of the fair, Sardar Babani, CEO of Toyota Iraq, shared the company’s latest offerings for the Iraqi market. Bebani confirmed that Toyota remains committed to fulfilling the safety and security needs of Iraqi consumers. In a significant announcement, he revealed that Toyota Iraq is now offering car insurance services alongside the vehicles it sells.

Bebani also highlighted Toyota’s new Al-Nabdh service, which provides comprehensive maintenance for two years free of charge. This service, available at all Toyota agents in Iraq, is part of the company’s effort to provide added value and enhance customer satisfaction.

Additionally, Bebani mentioned that Toyota has been actively involved in a number of local projects, including residential developments, as part of its long-term strategy to contribute to Iraq’s growth and development.

The ongoing participation of Japanese companies at the Baghdad International Fair reflects the growing economic relationship between Iraq and Japan. Both nations are showing increasing interest in expanding their cooperation, particularly in key sectors such as technology, automotive, and infrastructure.

Japan’s strong presence at the fair highlights the potential for future business partnerships and further integration of Japanese products and services in Iraq’s rapidly developing market. The continued collaboration between the two countries promises a future of enhanced trade and cultural exchange.
