Doha is set to host the Iraqi Cultural Week, a four-day event beginning this Thursday at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the initiative aims to highlight Iraq’s deep-rooted cultural heritage while strengthening cultural ties between Iraq and Qatar.
The event will feature a diverse range of activities, offering attendees a glimpse into Iraq’s rich artistic and cultural traditions. From literature and music to visual arts and heritage displays, the program is designed to foster intercultural dialogue and promote artistic expression.
Abdulrahman Al Dulaimi, Director of the Department of Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture, emphasized that this initiative reflects ongoing efforts to enhance cultural diplomacy and showcase the unique blend of Iraq’s historical legacy with modern artistic innovation. He noted that such events play a vital role in reinforcing cultural ties between nations and creating platforms for talent recognition.
By bringing Iraqi culture to a global audience, the festival not only honors the country’s artistic heritage but also contributes to the broader mission of cultural exchange and cooperation.
