Military Escalation Threatens Regional Peace, Warns Iraqi Government

Baghdad – Military escalation in the Middle East has drawn sharp criticism from Iraq. On Sunday, the Iraqi government expressed alarm over recent attacks on nuclear facilities in Iran. The official statement described the act as deeply troubling and dangerous.

Government spokesman Basim Alawadi voiced Iraq’s concerns in a message. He emphasized that Iraq strongly condemns the targeting of Iranian nuclear sites. According to him, this military escalationthreatens both peace and security across the region.

Alawadi explained that using force only worsens tensions. Iraq, he said, rejects violence in international relations. Instead, Baghdad supports respect for national sovereignty and protection of vital infrastructure. He highlighted the importance of sites monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

He urged all nations to avoid hostile actions. Instead, they should prioritize dialogue over confrontation. Military operations, Alawadi warned, risk expanding the conflict far beyond one country’s borders. They could endanger regional stability and global peace.

However, Iraq continues to advocate for diplomatic solutions. The government believes that war cannot replace negotiation. Alawadi stressed that open communication channels must be restored immediately. He added that international law and United Nations principles must guide every action.

Moreover, Iraq reminded the world of the destruction wars leave behind. According to the spokesman, global powers share a responsibility to prevent conflict. They must avoid igniting new crises. This includes avoiding any move that encourages further military escalation.

Additionally Alawadi reaffirmed Iraq’s unwavering support for regional peace. He said Baghdad stands ready to help contain the crisis. To do this, Iraq calls for urgent diplomatic efforts. These must aim to reduce tensions and protect the broader region from instability.

In conclusion, the Iraqi government urges restraint on all sides. With growing dangers, now is the time for diplomacy. Continued military escalation will only increase the risk of a wider conflict.
