Al-Maliki urges Iraqi employees to uphold integrity and resist political pressure

Nouri Al-Maliki, the leader of the Islamic Dawa Party, delivered a powerful message to Iraqi employees in a recent televised speech. He urged them to maintain honesty and reject any political pressure. According to Al-Maliki, public service goes beyond earning a paycheck—it represents a vital mission and a national responsibility.

He emphasized the crucial role Iraqi employees play across the country. “Public service is not merely work in exchange for a salary, but rather a mission and national responsibility,” he declared. Al-Maliki praised state workers, especially those in education, describing them as honest, dedicated, and hardworking. He expressed confidence that millions of employees continue to perform their duties with integrity.

Moreover, Al-Maliki warned against the negative effects of sweeping anti-corruption campaigns. He argued that such efforts often unfairly label Iraqi employees as corrupt. This, he said, would deeply harm those who serve citizens diligently every day. He called on the public to recognize the genuine commitment of state workers rather than stigmatize them unfairly.

Looking ahead, Al-Maliki also spoke about the upcoming parliamentary elections on November 11. He highlighted voting as both a democratic right and a historic responsibility. He urged citizens to participate actively and help protect election ballots from any form of interference or fraud.

In summary, Al-Maliki’s speech called on Iraqi employees to see their work as a mission and national duty. He reminded them of the importance of honesty and resilience in the face of political challenges. He also stressed the need for voters to safeguard democracy during the elections.

Through his words, Al-Maliki sought to inspire a renewed sense of purpose among Iraqi employees. He encouraged them to continue serving their country with pride and commitment. Ultimately, he believes that integrity and dedication from Iraqi employees will strengthen the nation and its democratic processes.
