Baghdad – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein delivered an official invitation to the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, on behalf of President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid. The invitation was extended to Emir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to attend the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad next month.
During the meeting at Bayan Palace, the Foreign Minister conveyed greetings from both the President and Prime Minister Mohammed Shi’a Al-Sudani, highlighting the strong and historical ties between Iraq and Kuwait. The Kuwaiti Crown Prince reaffirmed Iraq’s central role as a founding member of the Arab League and stressed the importance of bolstering joint Arab action.
The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen political, economic, and cultural cooperation between the two nations. Both parties emphasized the need for continued collaboration to address regional challenges and enhance security and stability. The meeting also touched on current regional and international developments, with Iraq expressing hope for positive outcomes from ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States
