Spain Offers Support for Iraq’s Energy Sector Growth

Baghdad, Iraq – The Spanish ambassador to Iraq, Alicia Rico, announced her country’s readiness to support the development of Iraq’s energy sector.

Rico made the statement during a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali Fadel, where they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two nations in the energy field.

The Spanish ambassador highlighted that Spanish companies specializing in renewable energy are eager to enter the Iraqi market, bringing their expertise and innovative technologies.

Minister Fadel emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities to engage in projects that will modernize and expand Iraq’s energy infrastructure.

He also reiterated Iraq’s goal to strengthen international partnerships, address current challenges, and ensure the sustainability of the country’s energy sector.
