Iraqi PM Mohammed Shia al-Sudani Launches Five Hospital Projects

On Thursday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani officially launched the implementation of work on five new hospital projects across Iraq. The launch was conducted via videoconference, marking a significant step in expanding healthcare infrastructure in various governorates.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office, the projects are part of a larger initiative to build 16 hospitals, each with a capacity of 100 beds. These hospitals aim to enhance healthcare services in underserved regions of Iraq.

The five projects that were launched today include:

  1. A hospital in Tel Keppe District, Nineveh Governorate.
  2. A hospital in Baiji District, Salah al-Din Governorate.
  3. A hospital in Sadat al-Hindiyah District, Babil Governorate.
  4. A hospital in Jadoul al-Gharbi District, Karbala Governorate.
  5. A hospital in Suq al-Shuyukh District, Dhi Qar Governorate.

These hospital projects are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of healthcare and ensure better access to medical services for citizens in various parts of Iraq. The launch is seen as a major step toward addressing the country’s healthcare challenges and providing essential services to communities.
