Iraq Calls for Urgent International Action to Support Reconstruction in Gaza and Lebanon

Baghdad, Iraq- The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandlawi, called for immediate international action to aid in the reconstruction of Gaza and Lebanon. His statement came during a meeting with Michel Siders, the political advisor at the US Embassy in Iraq, to discuss the ongoing local and regional developments, including the situation in Gaza and Lebanon.

Al-Mandlawi emphasized the critical need for international support in strategic matters affecting Iraq, asserting that such support plays a key role in fostering political and economic stability in the country. He further highlighted the importance of strengthening Iraq’s relations with the United States and expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors to benefit both nations.

The Deputy Speaker also urged for urgent efforts to support the rebuilding of Gaza and Lebanon, stressing the need to expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to the affected populations. He called on all parties to fully adhere to the terms of ceasefire agreements and ensure there are no violations of such agreements.

Al-Mandlawi reiterated Iraq’s firm stance in supporting the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and reiterated Iraq’s commitment to rejecting any actions that threaten the security and sovereignty of regional countries.
