Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani welcomes US Diaspora Delegation

Baghdad, Iraq- Kurdish President Nechirvan Barzani recently welcomed a delegation from the Iraqi diaspora in the United States to discuss enhancing economic partnerships and cultural cooperation. During the meeting, President Barzani emphasized the crucial role that the Iraqi diaspora plays in strengthening connections between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the global community. He acknowledged their significant contributions to economic development and reaffirmed the Kurdistan Region’s dedication to promoting peaceful coexistence and pluralism among all its communities. Barzani assured that the Region would continue to serve as an example of peace, openness, and inclusivity.

The delegation, led by Martin Manna, President of the Chaldean-American Chamber of Commerce, expressed support for further collaboration with the Kurdistan Region. They particularly focused on expanding economic ties and investment opportunities involving members of the Iraqi diaspora. The delegation also presented several proposals for potential business and investment initiatives in the Nineveh Plain and across the Kurdistan Region.
