President Nechirvan Barzani Highlights Importance of Development Path at Baghdad International Dialogue

Baghdad, Iraq- Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani highlighted the importance of the Development Path as a pivotal step toward creating a more prosperous Iraq during his speech at the Baghdad Dialogue Conference on Saturday.

Barzani expressed strong support for the Development Path project, emphasizing its potential to strengthen Iraq’s role as a key state in the Middle East. He reiterated that political and economic stability across all of Iraq is a national interest and that true development cannot be achieved without the integration of Baghdad and Erbil. Additionally, he stressed the importance of collaboration between Iraq and its regional and global neighbors.

“This conference embodies Iraq’s vision for regional opening and integration,” Barzani stated, further adding that Iraq’s sustainability requires cooperation and partnership rather than conflict and isolation. The Development Road Project was described by Barzani as a historic initiative aimed at building a more stable, prosperous Iraq, grounded in diverse economic foundations and regional cooperation.

He concluded by expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani for his leadership, which prioritizes dialogue as the basis for progress.
