Baghdad, Iraq- On Wednesday, Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani and Speaker of the Parliament Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani highlighted the importance of cooperation between Iraq’s executive and legislative branches to advance the government’s objectives.
According to Al-Sudani’s media office, the two leaders met to review the country’s general situation and discuss key political, economic, and service-related issues. The discussions emphasized their “shared commitment” to aligning efforts between the two branches to implement the government’s program, complete economic reforms, and ensure sustainable development for the benefit of Iraqi citizens.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani also praised the Council of Representatives for approving the amendment to the Budget Law, which will allow the government to prioritize service and living conditions across all governorates in the implementation of its program.
