President Urges Muqtada al-Sadr to Rejoin Political Process Ahead of Elections

Baghdad – On Friday, President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid issued a formal appeal to Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the National Shia Movement, encouraging him to return to political engagement through the upcoming parliamentary elections.

In an official message directed to the Sadrist Movement, the president stressed the need for unity among national forces to address the country’s pressing challenges. He emphasized that collaboration across the political spectrum is vital for maintaining stability and achieving long-term development.

The letter also pointed to the current opportunities for progress in both economic and social sectors, urging that such momentum be harnessed through active and constructive participation in Iraq’s democratic process.
