President Amidi Deepens Ties with Algeria and Bangladesh Through New Diplomatic Engagements

Iraq expands diplomatic cooperation as Baghdad strengthens ties with Algeria and Bangladesh. President Nizar Amidi agreed on Thursday with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Bangladeshi President Mohammad Shahabuddin to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.

The Iraqi presidency media office announced the developments in an official statement. The talks focused on economic, political, and regional stability issues. Iraq aims to strengthen international partnerships while expanding its global diplomatic presence. Both leaders welcomed expanded dialogue across various strategic fields. The discussions aimed to build long-term partnerships beyond traditional diplomacy.

The Algerian president sent a congratulatory message to the Iraqi president on assuming office. He expressed strong wishes for continued success and good health. He emphasized Algeria’s commitment to historic friendship and solidarity with Iraq. He also encouraged expanded cooperation in trade, education, and energy. Algeria expressed readiness for joint projects in infrastructure development. Both sides discussed regional security cooperation during the exchange. They agreed to continue diplomatic coordination to support mutual interests.

The Bangladeshi president also sent a congratulatory message to the Iraqi president. Moreover, he praised the long-standing relations between the two countries. In addition, he highlighted Iraq’s early recognition of Bangladesh in its history.

Furthermore, he called for stronger cooperation in development and investment opportunities. Similarly, Bangladesh emphasized humanitarian and economic collaboration with Iraq. Meanwhile, both sides discussed potential investment opportunities in key Iraqi sectors. As a result, they also agreed to support cultural exchange programs between the two nations.

Consequently, Iraq expands diplomatic cooperation as foreign policy gains momentum across multiple regions. In turn, officials say the agreements open new opportunities for regional collaboration and growth. Moreover, Iraq aims to strengthen global engagement through continuous diplomatic dialogue. Ultimately, observers view the meetings as a step toward stronger regional integration.
