PM Al-Sudani Leads Celebration of Baghdad as Arab Tourism Capital 2025

Baghdad, Iraq – Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani today presided over the ceremony marking the official handover of the key to Baghdad, designating it as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025.

The ceremony, held in the presence of various officials and dignitaries, celebrates Baghdad’s selection for this prestigious title, highlighting the city’s cultural, historical, and touristic significance in the Arab world.

In a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office, it was emphasized that this designation is a significant step in showcasing Iraq’s potential as a tourist destination and promoting its rich heritage and landmarks to the wider Arab world and beyond.

Baghdad’s designation as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025 is expected to boost tourism and foster regional collaboration, opening doors for new opportunities in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
