New Residential City for Iraqi Army Personnel Approved in Baghdad

Baghdad, Iraq — The Minister of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities, Bengin Rikani, alongside Defence Minister Thabit Al-Abbasi, has officially approved the master plan for a new residential city dedicated to housing Iraqi Army personnel in the capital. The project, which is set to adhere to modern urban planning standards, will feature more than 114,000 residential units.

Located in close proximity to the Ali Al-Wardi Residential City, the new development will be seamlessly connected through an integrated road network, ensuring easy access between the two areas. The joint initiative will be overseen by teams from both the Ministries of Construction and Defence, with a focus on land allocation and the issuance of property deeds.

Minister Al-Abbasi expressed his appreciation for the initiative, underscoring its significance for the welfare of military personnel. He also confirmed that plans are underway to replicate similar housing projects for armed forces members in other provinces across Iraq.

The project is expected to provide much-needed housing for Iraqi soldiers and their families, contributing to improved living standards and enhanced community infrastructure.
