Iraq Seeks Increased Cooperation With Turkish Enterprises

Iraq seeks increased cooperation with Turkish enterprises, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stated. He met with businessmen and representatives from 17 Turkish companies working in various industries, the Prime Minister’s Office reported.

Al-Sudani stressed that Iraq seeks increased cooperation with Turkish enterprises to boost trade and strengthen bilateral ties. He highlighted the growing relationship between the two countries, which has expanded significantly under the guidance of both nations’ leaders.

Investments and business ventures, al-Sudani said, form the most crucial foundations for building strong economic connections. He emphasized that these efforts aim to improve trade relations and ensure mutual benefits.

The prime minister noted that Iraq’s remarkable stability creates an ideal environment for attracting investments. Baghdad is preparing policies to establish a favorable climate that encourages Turkish companies to invest and expand their presence in Iraq.

Al-Sudani also highlighted that the economic exchange between Iraq and Turkey exceeds $20 billion, demonstrating the significant potential for further cooperation. Strengthening these economic ties will create opportunities for growth in both nations.

Furthermore, Iraq is advancing the strategic Development Road project, which will improve collaboration with Turkey and other regional partners. This initiative, according to al-Sudani, will enhance trade, infrastructure, and economic networks across the region.

The Prime Minister concluded that Iraq seeks increased cooperation with Turkish enterprises not only to expand business but also to promote long-term regional stability. He encouraged Turkish companies to explore investment opportunities and participate in Iraq’s economic growth.

Iraq focuses on investment-friendly policies and strategic projects like the Development Road. These efforts aim to solidify its role as a regional economic hub. The government’s proactive approach reflects its commitment to building strong international partnerships and sustainable development.

By actively encouraging Turkish investment, Iraq demonstrates its determination to foster regional economic integration. This approach also opens doors for joint ventures, technology transfer, and sustainable development projects that benefit both nations.
