The Ministry of Oil announced on Tuesday that Iraq has officially started exporting jet fuel from its ports.
Hamid Younis, the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Refining Affairs, shared that jet fuel exports have begun at a rate of 800-1,000 tons per day. He also confirmed that the jet fuel produced in Iraq meets international standards and specifications.
Younis called this move a positive step for Iraq, strengthening its position as a key player in the global oil and derivatives market. He emphasized that the export of petroleum products will help increase financial revenues from the oil sector, thereby supporting Iraq’s national economy.
This achievement, he noted, was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the ministry and its staff, with the goal of advancing Iraq’s economic development through expanded export opportunities.
