Iraq Book Fair Launch Set to Highlight Baghdad’s Expanding Cultural Scene

Iraq Book Fair Launch stands at the center of Baghdad’s cultural calendar as the capital prepares for the sixth Iraq International Book Fair. Organizers confirmed that final preparations continue at the Baghdad International Fair ahead of the December 3–13, 2025 event. Iraq Book Fair Launch anchors discussions among cultural leaders who expect strong attendance and wide regional interest.

Director-General Mustafa Nizar Al-Ani stated that teams continue their work across multiple pavilions. He said workers install structures, arrange book displays, and organize seminar halls. Moreover, he explained that crews coordinate with publishers to ensure smooth participation. He added that staff also prepare visitor routes to manage large crowds efficiently.

Al-Ani emphasized the event’s expanding scale. He stressed that this growing mix strengthens Baghdad’s role as a regional cultural center. Furthermore, he explained that the event encourages dialogue among writers, artists, and readers.

It also features literary evenings that highlight new works and emerging voices. Additionally, panel discussions will explore cultural trends, publishing challenges, and creative industries. He also emphasized the role of the Al Mada Foundation in supporting cultural development.
