Sudani and Rashid Tackle Iraq’s National Priorities in Baghdad Talks

Baghdad – Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid in Baghdad to address Iraq’s national priorities. Their discussion centered on urgent domestic issues, regional developments, and key political objectives.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, both leaders emphasized unity and national interest. They called for a unified national discourse to help address the country’s ongoing difficulties. In particular, they stressed the importance of placing the needs of all Iraqis above political divides.

In addition, the leaders examined regional dynamics that affect Iraq’s stability. They agreed on the importance of coordinated positions to respond to external challenges. This cooperation, they said, would reinforce internal strength and regional influence.

One critical issue discussed was salary financing for public employees in the Kurdistan Region. Both sides confirmed their commitment to resolving federal and regional matters. They noted that any resolution must align with Iraq’s constitution and legal principles.

The meeting also touched on Iraq’s upcoming elections. Sudani and Rashid reviewed current preparations to ensure the vote occurs on schedule. They underscored the need for a transparent and fair electoral process that reflects the will of the Iraqi people.

Iraq’s national priorities remained central throughout the discussions. Both leaders agreed that a stable and united Iraq requires continuous cooperation between state institutions. They highlighted the importance of dialogue in maintaining trust between the federal government and regional authorities.

Furthermore, they called for calm political discourse and responsible leadership. They warned against rhetoric that could undermine national progress or social cohesion.

In conclusion, the meeting marked a step forward in addressing Iraq’s national priorities through dialogue and collaboration. By focusing on unity and constitutional solutions, both leaders aim to promote stability and meet citizens’ expectations.

Iraq’s national priorities, they emphasized, must remain above partisanship to secure a stronger future for all.
