Iraq Condemns Recent Airstrikes on Syria and Calls for International Accountability

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq condemned the recent airstrikes carried out by the Zionist entity targeting various areas in Syria, including Hama Airport, on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

In a statement shared with the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry expressed deep disapproval of the airstrikes, describing them as a direct attack on Syrian territory. The statement further condemned the ongoing incursions by occupation forces into Syria.

The Ministry highlighted that these attacks, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of many innocent civilians, reflect an aggressive and expansionist strategy by the occupation government. They also represent a clear violation of international law and the sovereignty of nations.

Iraq reaffirmed its support for the Syrian people and called on the international community to take responsibility in halting such violations, ensuring the protection of civilians, and upholding the fundamental right of all peoples to live in safety and peace.
