Opening of School Annexes in Sadr City: Enhancing Education Capacity

Baghdad, Iraq – On Thursday, the Governor of Baghdad, Abdul-Mutalib Al-Alawi, inaugurated four school annexes in Sadr City. These annexes are part of an effort to expand educational infrastructure in the area. The schools include Al-Ghary School, Asia School, Babel School, and Atika School.

This initiative reflects the Baghdad governorate’s commitment to increasing the capacity of schools. The goal is to meet the growing demand for educational spaces in the city. The opening of these buildings is part of a broader strategy to enhance the educational environment for students in Baghdad.

Al-Alawi emphasized that these annexes would contribute to improving the quality of education. The new buildings will provide students with a more conducive learning environment. This project aligns with the ongoing efforts to support the six educational districts in Baghdad.

In addition to improving school infrastructure, these annexes will help reduce overcrowding in existing classrooms. As more students enroll in schools, the need for additional space has become urgent. The expansion of school buildings is a necessary step to ensure that students have access to quality education.

The Governor further mentioned that the development of educational facilities is critical to fostering academic excellence. Providing suitable facilities will create a better learning atmosphere for students. The authorities plan to continue investing in educational infrastructure to support the future growth of Baghdad’s student population.

The opening of these school annexes is just one part of a wider initiative to enhance the educational system in the capital. With the support of the local government, the city aims to create more opportunities for students to succeed. The move to expand educational infrastructure reflects a long-term vision for improving public services and providing a brighter future for the youth of Baghdad.
