Al-Sudani Invited to Attend International Peace Forum in Ashgabat

Baghdad, Iraq- Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has received an invitation to attend the upcoming International Peace Forum in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The forum is scheduled to take place in December of this year.

Today, the Prime Minister’s office announced that al-Sudani spoke with Turkmenistan’s President, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, over the phone. During their conversation, both leaders emphasized strengthening the cooperation between their nations.

The two sides discussed various areas of potential growth, focusing on trade and economic relations. They also agreed on boosting investments and expanding energy collaboration. Al-Sudani and Berdimuhamedow specifically highlighted gas, oil products, and renewable energy as key areas for joint development.

The invitation to attend the International Peace Forum was extended by President Berdimuhamedow himself. The forum in Ashgabat will tackle several important global issues, including sustainable development and the future of international cooperation. It is expected to bring together leaders from around the world to discuss these pressing matters.

In addition to political cooperation, the conversation between the two leaders also touched on fostering mutual support for energy initiatives. Both nations are keen to explore new opportunities for growth in sectors such as gas and renewable energy, which could benefit both economies in the long run.

Prime Minister al-Sudani’s participation in the forum will further solidify Iraq’s role in regional and international dialogues on peace and development. The discussions at the forum are expected to cover a wide range of topics related to global cooperation, with a special focus on energy, sustainability, and economic progress.

As the year unfolds, the growing partnership between Iraq and Turkmenistan shows promising potential. This invitation reflects the ongoing efforts to enhance diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations. Both leaders hope this cooperation will create lasting benefits for their people and contribute to broader regional stability.
