Iraqi Airways Expands Digital Services with New Online Check-In System

Iraqi Airways online check-in entered a new phase on Monday as the national carrier launched a digital service for passengers. The move aims to simplify airport procedures and improve the travel experience across Iraq.

Manaf Abdul-Moneim announced the launch in a statement. He said passengers can now choose seats and receive electronic boarding passes before arriving at the airport.

Furthermore, travelers can access the service through the airline’s website and mobile application. As a result, passengers can complete several steps before reaching the terminal.

According to Abdul-Moneim, the initiative supports the company’s broader digital transformation strategy. In addition, the airline seeks to improve customer services and align with modern aviation standards.

The new system allows passengers to issue boarding passes electronically. Moreover, travelers can select preferred seats through a few simple steps.

Generally, the service becomes available between 48 and 24 hours before departure. However, the system closes two hours before takeoff.

Consequently, passengers can avoid long lines at traditional check-in counters. Therefore, the process saves time and reduces congestion inside airports.

In addition, travelers can select seats free of charge in some cases. Meanwhile, other seating options may require a small fee.

The service generates a QR code or barcode on smartphones. Security personnel and boarding gate staff can quickly verify the code.

The launch marks another step in Iraq’s efforts to modernize transportation services. Moreover, digital tools continue to play a larger role in the aviation sector.

Airlines around the world increasingly rely on electronic services. Therefore, Iraqi Airways seeks to keep pace with global developments and improve efficiency.

Industry experts consider digital check-in services an important feature for modern carriers. Such systems also help passengers enjoy smoother journeys and shorter waiting times.

Meanwhile, the company continues to expand technological services for customers. Officials hope these measures will strengthen the airline’s competitiveness and boost customer satisfaction.

In recent years, Iraqi Airways has focused on improving operational standards. The company has also introduced new initiatives to enhance passenger convenience.

As air travel demand grows, digital services have become increasingly important. Consequently, Iraqi Airways online check-in represents a significant step toward modernization.

The new platform offers travelers more flexibility and convenience. At the same time, Iraqi Airways online check-inhighlights the company’s commitment to improving customer experience and embracing digital innovation.
