UAE-Iraq Relations Focus on Regional Stability and Economic Growth

UAE-Iraq relations advanced further today as top leaders from both countries held high-level talks in Abu Dhabi. President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani during his working visit to the UAE.

The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati, where both sides emphasized the importance of cooperation. They focused on expanding bilateral efforts, especially in economic and developmental sectors that benefit both nations.

The two leaders also explored opportunities to align their national priorities.
They agreed to pursue projects that promote mutual growth and improve the lives of their citizens. Furthermore, they highlighted the value of direct dialogue and long-term collaboration in regional partnerships.

In addition to economic matters, the discussion addressed key regional and global issues.
They exchanged views on recent developments in the Middle East, focusing on peace and diplomacy. Both leaders stressed the urgent need to stabilize the region through coordinated international efforts.

The leaders supported diplomatic initiatives that encourage security and peaceful coexistence. They also acknowledged growing international support for the State of Palestine.
They viewed this momentum as a crucial step toward realizing Palestinian aspirations.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared vision for strong UAE-Iraq relations. They pledged to deepen cooperation in ways that support regional security and prosperity.

They also recognized the importance of unified Arab efforts during times of crisis.
According to both leaders, unity among Arab nations remains essential for sustainable development and peace. Several high-ranking Emirati officials attended the talks.


These included H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan. Also present were Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Abdulla Matar Al Mazrouei, and other senior government representatives.

Earlier in the day, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Iraqi Prime Minister. He greeted him at Abu Dhabi’s Presidential Flight, accompanied by several ministers and top officials.

This visit marks another milestone in strengthening UAE-Iraq relations. Both countries continue to show commitment to cooperation, peace, and shared regional progress.
