Baghdad – Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari delivered a formal invitation to Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on behalf of Iraq’s President to attend the upcoming Arab Summit set to take place in Baghdad next month.
During his visit to Mogadishu, Minister Al-Shammari conveyed the greetings of both the Iraqi President and Prime Minister, emphasizing Iraq’s commitment to hosting a summit that reflects the shared aspirations of the Arab nations. The invitation highlights Iraq’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to engage regional partners and promote collective dialogue.
The meeting also included discussions on enhancing bilateral ties between Iraq and Somalia, with both sides expressing interest in expanding cooperation to support mutual goals.
