Traffic Authority Urges Safe Driving Amid Rainy Weather

Baghdad, Iraq- The Traffic Directorate has emphasized the need for strict adherence to road safety rules to prevent accidents during rainy conditions. Authorities stress that cautious driving can significantly reduce risks, especially on highways and city roads.

In a recent statement, the Traffic Directorate urged all drivers to follow traffic regulations with greater awareness. Officials highlighted that wet roads increase the likelihood of accidents, making careful driving essential. They called on motorists to remain vigilant and maintain control over their vehicles.

Drivers must keep a safe distance from other vehicles to avoid sudden stops. The statement also warned against excessive speeding, as slippery roads make it harder to stop in time. Traffic officials reminded drivers to inspect their vehicles and ensure all safety features function properly before heading out.

To enhance road safety, authorities encourage motorists to check their brakes, tires, and lights. They also advise using headlights during heavy rain to improve visibility. Traffic officers will continue monitoring major roads to ensure compliance with safety measures.

With the rainy season posing additional risks, officials stress the importance of responsible driving. They remind motorists that following safety guidelines can help prevent road mishaps. By driving cautiously, everyone contributes to safer roads and reduces accident rates.
