PM Mohammed Al-Sudani Emphasizes Role of Tribes in Iraq’s Stability and Development at General Tribal Conference

Baghdad, Iraq- Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani sponsored the General Tribal Conference on Monday, organized by the Ministry of Interior. In his speech, he emphasized the vital role of Iraq’s tribes in upholding state sovereignty, rule of law, and maintaining security. He acknowledged their significant contributions to combating ISIS, supporting development, public services, and national reconstruction. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to revitalizing sectors like agriculture and industry, urging tribal leaders to support the government’s efforts in development projects, resolving disputes, combating drug abuse, and strengthening national unity.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of collaboration between tribes and security agencies to safeguard national security and maintain social harmony. He also praised the Ministry of Interior for its ongoing work with tribal leaders to ensure Iraq’s stability.
