PM Al-Sudani Meets with Agricultural Leaders to Discuss Support for Farmers

Baghdad – Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani held a meeting with Waleed Hamad Al-Kureiti, President of the General Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations in Iraq, and Imad Makroud Al-Budeiri, the Vice President and Head of the Federation’s Executive Office.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister received feedback on the challenges faced by farmers, their requests, and the necessary support to ensure a successful agricultural season.

Al-Sudani reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing farmers’ needs, emphasizing the importance of providing support across all areas. He directed that these requests be forwarded to the Council of Ministers for further action, aligning with the government’s strategy to enhance the agricultural sector and promote non-oil economic growth, increase domestic production, and ensure food security for Iraq.
