Nechirvan Barzani Engages in High-Level Diplomacy at Antalya Forum   

Baghdad Telegraph, President Nechirvan Barzani of the Kurdistan Region has actively participated in the fourth Antalya Diplomacy Forum, engaging in crucial discussions with key regional leaders. His presence underscores the Kurdistan Region’s commitment to fostering dialogue and cooperation on the international stage.   

A significant highlight of President Barzani’s visit was his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.Discussions centered on strengthening bilateral relations between Turkey, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region. A key point of discussion was the Development Road Project, a major infrastructure initiative with strategic importance for the region.The two leaders also addressed the ongoing peace process in Turkey, highlighting the importance of stability and security.  

President Barzani also held a notable meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. This interaction marks a significant diplomatic engagement between the Kurdistan Region and the Syrian leadership. The meeting offered an opportunity to discuss regional stability, the complexities of the Syrian conflict, and potential avenues for cooperation.   

The Antalya Diplomacy Forum, a platform for global dialogue, provided a crucial opportunity for President Barzani to engage with a diverse range of international leaders and officials. His participation highlights the Kurdistan Region’s active role in addressing pressing global and regional issues. The meetings are seen as a demonstration of the Kurdistan region’s desire to enhance its relationships with its neighbors, and to play a constructive part in the region’s overall stability.
