Muqtada al-Sadr Declines Participation in Upcoming Parliamentary Elections

Sayyed Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the National Shiite Movement, confirmed his decision not to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections. In a statement addressing calls for his reconsideration, he clarified that he had never sought to postpone or cancel the elections. This response came after an appeal from President Abdul Latif Rashid, urging him to rethink his position on the matter.
