Traffic Directorate Denies Drug Test Fee Claim

The Traffic Directorate has firmly denied recent claims spreading online. According to its official statement, the directorate has not introduced a drug test fee during vehicle ownership transfer.

Posts on social media falsely suggest that individuals must now pay 100,000 dinars for a drug test. These claims quickly gained traction, leading to confusion among vehicle owners and car dealers. However, the directorate issued a clear denial, labeling the information as incorrect and misleading.

Officials emphasized that no such decision had been made. Furthermore, they reassured citizens that all updates to procedures would come from official sources. Therefore, they advised the public not to rely on unofficial posts or rumors online.

Additionally, the directorate clarified that any change in procedures would be announced through trusted media channels. This approach ensures transparency and protects citizens from misinformation. The rise of fake news on social media platforms has made it harder for the public to trust updates without verification.

Despite the rapid spread of the false claim, no supporting documents or official notifications have surfaced. Still, the rumor caused significant concern among people who planned to sell or buy vehicles.

To reduce confusion, the Traffic Directorate encouraged everyone to visit its official website or contact its offices directly. In doing so, citizens can confirm details about the vehicle ownership transfer process. Also, this helps limit the damage caused by inaccurate posts.

This is not the first time such false information has circulated online. Government bodies regularly remind citizens to ignore unverified messages. The false claim about the drug test fee during vehicle ownership transfer serves as another example of misinformation leading to public anxiety.

To conclude, the directorate’s statement reaffirms that there is no drug test fee during vehicle ownership transfer. People should stay informed by checking facts with the appropriate authorities.
