Iraqi Airways Celebrates Smooth Hajj Travel Success

Iraqi Airways announced the successful transportation of over 17,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. These pilgrims traveled on 105 direct flights from airports across Iraq. This achievement reflects Iraq’s commitment to ensuring smooth Hajj travel for all participants.

The flights operated between various Iraqi airports and key destinations in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Transport supervised the operation closely. Transport Minister Razzaq Muhaibas al-Saadawi oversaw the entire process to guarantee smooth logistics and coordination.

Company Director General Manaf Abdul-Munim praised the exceptional efforts of airline staff. He highlighted their role in making the travel experience seamless. Technicians, service crews, and administrative teams worked around the clock to provide high-quality services.

Abdul-Munim noted that the airline used specially prepared aircraft. These planes met advanced technical and comfort standards. He emphasized that these arrangements were made to honor the status of Hajj pilgrims as guests of God.

The success of this year’s operation demonstrates the strength of the airline’s planning. Iraqi Airways followed international standards while also providing culturally sensitive services. The company aimed to offer a dignified journey to pilgrims and boost public trust in Iraq’s national carrier.

No delays or disruptions were reported during the outbound flights. This smooth Hajj travel performance is the result of strong coordination among multiple agencies. Ground support staff, airport officials, and civil aviation teams worked in full harmony.

Minister al-Saadawi expressed satisfaction with the results. He also called for continued efforts to guarantee a safe return for all pilgrims. Iraqi Airways will now focus on the return phase of the pilgrimage season with the same commitment.

Smooth Hajj travel remains a national priority. Iraqi authorities and airline teams have shown that detailed planning and teamwork lead to positive results.
