Arab League Secretary-General Praises Iraq’s Efforts to Strengthen Regional Cooperation

Baghdad, Iraq – The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, commended Iraq’s efforts to enhance collective Arab cooperation on Monday.

A statement from Iraq’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shared with the Iraqi News Agency, revealed that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein had a phone conversation with Aboul Gheit, where they discussed the latest regional developments and the challenges facing Arab nations.

In the statement, Aboul Gheit expressed his gratitude for Iraq’s support of the Arab League across various sectors, highlighting the country’s significant role in advancing collective Arab initiatives.

The two officials also discussed key regional crises and explored potential solutions aimed at promoting security and stability in the region.

They underscored the need for improved coordination in tackling present challenges, emphasizing the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to resolve crises in a manner that benefits the Arab people and strengthens regional cooperation.
