Al-Sudani Orders Fire Investigation After Tragic Kut Incident

Baghdad – Al-Sudani orders fire investigation into the deadly blaze that struck a facility in Kut, demanding full accountability and urgent answers.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani directed an immediate inquiry into the fire and its surrounding circumstances. He instructed the Interior Minister to travel to Kut and personally oversee the situation on-site.

According to a statement from his media office, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for a technical review of the incident. He also asked authorities to uncover any negligence or gaps that may have contributed to the tragedy.

Moreover, he urged the enforcement of strict safety measures to prevent similar disasters in the future. In response to the incident, Al-Sudani dispatched a medical team equipped to treat the injured and assist local hospitals.

This move aimed to strengthen emergency response efforts and ensure proper care for victims. Furthermore, Al-Sudani extended his condolences to the families affected by the fire.

He expressed deep sorrow over the lives lost and offered words of comfort to those grieving. The Prime Minister also asked government officials to remain alert and proactive in managing such crises.

Al-Sudani orders fire investigation not just for answers but to push forward stronger public safety protocols. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting citizens and preventing unnecessary suffering.

Authorities now face the task of completing the investigation quickly and transparently. Local officials have begun collecting eyewitness accounts and reviewing building safety compliance.

Investigators will assess infrastructure conditions and emergency response times at the scene. So far, no official number of casualties has been confirmed.

However, government sources expect to release full details following the initial report. Al-Sudani orders fire investigation during a time when public safety concerns continue to rise across the country.

He believes that accountability and transparency are essential to rebuilding trust after tragic events. With this latest directive, Iraq’s leadership hopes to learn from the past and prevent future crises.
