Damac Unveils Harir Residences in Iraqi Capital

The Baghdad luxury housing project market continues expanding after Damac International unveiled its latest development in the Iraqi capital. Furthermore, the company introduced Harir Residences as part of its broader investment plans in Baghdad.

Damac announced that the project will rise inside the Damac Hills Baghdad community. In addition, the development will feature two residential towers with 12 floors each.

The project will include 210 apartments designed for different family sizes and lifestyles. Buyers can choose between one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units.

According to the company, Harir Residences combines modern architecture with elements inspired by Baghdad’s cultural identity. Moreover, the project aims to connect contemporary living with the city’s historic character.

Baghdad has long served as an important regional center for trade, culture, and education. Consequently, developers increasingly seek projects that reflect both heritage and modernization.

The Baghdad luxury housing project also focuses on lifestyle-oriented urban planning. Developers designed the residences around green spaces, lakes, and landscaped surroundings.

The apartments will feature large balconies overlooking nearby water features and forests. Additionally, the project plans to offer a community-focused residential atmosphere.

Damac stated that the development draws inspiration from Dubai’s Damac Hills community. That project became known across the region for its large-scale urban planning and luxury lifestyle features.

Harir Residences aims to introduce a similar concept inside the Iraqi capital. At the same time, the company says the design will maintain Baghdad’s distinct architectural and cultural spirit.

Real estate activity in Baghdad has increased steadily during recent years. Investors and developers continue exploring opportunities in residential and commercial construction projects.

Analysts say luxury housing demand has grown alongside urban expansion and infrastructure improvements. Furthermore, developers increasingly target upper-income buyers seeking modern residential communities.

The project also reflects wider efforts to reshape Baghdad’s urban landscape through private investment. Several new developments now focus on mixed-use communities and high-end residential living.

Damac described Harir Residences as a fully integrated urban concept centered on comfort and community. The company also emphasized architectural elegance and long-term lifestyle planning.

Construction projects of this scale could contribute to employment opportunities and economic activity in Iraq’s capital. However, experts note that infrastructure and public services remain key challenges for future urban growth.

The Baghdad luxury housing project announcement arrives as Iraq seeks greater foreign investment across several sectors. Real estate developers continue monitoring demand for modern housing in major Iraqi cities.

Harir Residences now joins a growing list of upscale projects reshaping Baghdad’s residential market. Meanwhile, observers expect competition among luxury developers to increase in the coming years.
