Erbil Gas Station Shooting Leaves Three Dead After Fuel Payment Dispute

The Erbil gas station shooting tragically ended with three people dead after a violent confrontation over a fuel payment dispute. The incident happened along the Erbil-Kasnazan road while a car was refueling.

Two individuals arrived at a gas station and began filling their vehicle’s tank. However, a small amount of fuel spilled during the process. The gas station employee requested payment for the spilled fuel, which totaled 52,000 Iraqi dinars.

Following this request, an argument broke out between the two parties. Initially, witnesses described the dispute as a minor altercation. However, the situation escalated rapidly.

Suddenly, the gas station employee drew a Kalashnikov rifle and opened fire. The violent shooting resulted in the deaths of the three men involved in the dispute.

Moreover, another bullet struck a bystander outside the gas station. The bystander sustained fatal injuries and later died at the scene.

Witnesses expressed shock at how quickly the disagreement turned deadly. They said the incident started with a small disagreement but ended with gunfire and loss of life.

Authorities are investigating the event, seeking to understand what caused such extreme violence over a fuel payment. The shooting has stirred fear and concern among local residents.
