Iraq Invites Qatar to Arab Summit as Talks Focus on Strengthening Joint Arab Action

Baghdad – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on Monday. Their meeting took place at the Qatari Foreign Ministry headquarters in Doha.

During the visit, Hussein delivered an official invitation from Iraq’s President to the Emir of Qatar. The invitation called on the Qatari leader to attend the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad. Hussein also conveyed greetings from both Iraq’s President and Prime Minister.

The meeting carried important diplomatic weight. It reflected Iraq’s ongoing efforts toward strengthening joint Arab action. Both leaders discussed the significance of this summit for regional cooperation.

Furthermore, they reviewed political and economic ties between Iraq and Qatar. They also explored investment opportunities and future bilateral agreements. These talks signaled a deepening relationship between Baghdad and Doha.

Hussein emphasized Iraq’s recent progress. He noted the country’s growing political and security stability. According to him, the Arab Summit will demonstrate how far Iraq has advanced.

In addition, both ministers addressed broader regional developments. They shared views on the negotiations between Iran and the United States. Each side hoped for positive outcomes that could reduce regional tensions.

The ministers also agreed to continue close coordination on key regional issues. This includes developing strategies for strengthening joint Arab action. They highlighted the need for united efforts in addressing shared political and security challenges.

Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed praised Iraq’s preparations for the summit. He also reaffirmed Qatar’s support for peace and stability in Iraq and the broader region.

The discussion extended to Syria’s ongoing crisis. Hussein voiced concern over the potential for wider regional conflict. He called for urgent cooperation to find peaceful solutions.

Ultimately, both leaders committed to strengthening joint Arab action. This vision remains central to building stronger diplomatic ties and ensuring long-term regional stability.
