Al-Abbas Holy Shrine Prepares for Major Graduation Ceremony

The university graduation celebration continues to grow as the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine finalizes all preparations for its central graduation event. More than 60 universities from across Iraq will take part. Around 4,500 students are expected to participate in this remarkable celebration.

Maheer Khalid, the official in charge of university relations at the Holy Shrine, confirmed the successful completion of all logistical steps. According to him, the central graduation ceremony aims to honor Iraqi students in an exceptional way. This annual event has become a symbol of unity and academic achievement throughout the country.

The university graduation celebration will include a wide range of meaningful and symbolic activities. The first part of the program involves a spiritual visit to the two holy shrines. Graduates will recite a collective oath before the shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, reflecting their commitment to Iraq.

In addition, colorful and historic elements will enrich the ceremony. A glider will raise the national flag high above the formations of graduates. Each formation will wear traditional Iraqi attire that reflects the diversity of the nation. Every cultural group will be represented according to their historical roots.

Planning teams have organized events across three different locations. Over three days, these activities will include educational, cultural, and inspirational components. The event reflects serious dedication from the shrine’s departments, which pooled resources to ensure its success.

Later in the day, the main graduation ceremony will take place at Al-Ameed School. The shrine’s chief legal trustee will deliver a keynote address. University officials will also speak. Guests will enjoy poetry, music, video presentations, and theatrical performances.

The event will honor exceptional students with disabilities and the families of fallen heroes. Organizers will present symbolic gifts to acknowledge their sacrifices and perseverance.

Furthermore, the university graduation celebration includes workshops and lectures designed to prepare students for the job market. Organizers will also distribute analytical surveys to help graduates identify their strengths and set career goals.

This celebration offers more than just applause for academic success. It strengthens national identity, promotes cultural pride, and provides inspiration for the future of Iraq.
