Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani recently praised Dr. Mohammed Taher, an Iraqi surgeon who volunteered in Gaza during the recent Israeli aggression. In a phone call, the Prime Minister called Dr. Taher the “Ambassador of Humanity” for his selfless dedication, having performed over 290 surgeries and treated more than 1,100 injured Palestinians during the 470-day conflict.
Dr. Taher, who left his family in London, received immense gratitude from the Palestinian people, especially for representing Iraq. He expressed appreciation for the emotional support from Iraqis, which helped him stay strong throughout the mission.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani acknowledged Dr. Taher’s bravery and invited him to visit Baghdad, where his contributions will be celebrated. The Prime Minister also assured continued Iraqi support for Gaza’s reconstruction, emphasizing Iraq’s longstanding commitment to Palestine.
