Iraq and Iran Universities Sign 100 Collaboration Deals

Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that 100 memoranda of understanding have been signed between Iraqi and Iranian universities, paving the way for enhanced scientific collaboration.

The agreements, signed during Science Week in Karbala, aim to foster academic exchange across various scientific and technological disciplines. This includes joint training programs for students and faculty, the exchange of research expertise, and collaborative projects in modern technology and innovation, with a focus on practical applications for economic and scientific development. The establishment of scientific and technical parks within Iraqi universities is also a key component of the agreements.

The universities have also committed to joint research projects, collaborative scientific supervision, curriculum updates, and scholarship exchanges, according to a ministry statement.
