PM Mohammed Al-Sudani and Kurdistan region President Nechirvan Barzani Meet on National Matters

Baghdad, Iraq- Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today with the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, to discuss key national matters and assess the progress of the government’s agenda across various sectors.

During the meeting, Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of advancing joint agreements, particularly in light of recent amendments to the Federal Budget Law approved by the Council of Representatives. He highlighted that these measures align with national interests, strengthen the economy, and address citizens’ needs. Additionally, he stressed the urgency of resuming oil production by companies operating in the Kurdistan Region and restarting exports through the Ceyhan port in Türkiye.

Barzani, in turn, reaffirmed the commitment to ongoing communication and cooperation with the federal government to ensure effective coordination in economic and service sectors, ultimately contributing to development, service improvements, and long-term stability.
