Addressing the Erbil Forum, Iraqi PM Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani said “We have ended the phase of wars and conflicts that we suffered from for years and moved to a phase of peace, stability, and prosperity.”
“Iraq is also proceeding with confident steps towards integration with the international community,”
During his tenure, the Iraqi premier said his cabinet has pursued an “Iraq First” policy while strengthening Baghdad’s position internationally.
The Development Road project, according to PM Sudani, will be an “economic, cultural, and social bridge connecting Asia to Europe.”
“We have strong relationships with members of the international coalition, chief among them the United States of America,” Sudani stated.
Iraq is “transitioning to bilateral relationships with all coalition countries,”
Our government has worked hard to find sustainable solutions to what were called the outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil,”
“We now look forward to completing the procedures for exporting crude oil to the port of Ceyhan and opening a new page with companies operating in the [Kurdistan] Region,” Sudani said, with Kurdish oil exports about to restart.
The Iraqi premier reiterated that his government is committed to ensuring that the Kurdistan Region’s citizens receive their salaries.
“We affirm our support for the Syrian people and their right to deeming their future,” the Iraqi premier stated.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani’s speech at the Erbil Forum 2025 highlighted Iraq’s shift to stability, global integration, and strong international ties. He reaffirmed commitments to resolving Baghdad-Erbil issues, restarting Kurdish oil exports, and supporting the Syrian people’s future.
