According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, the agreement reflects the shared goal of both nations to deepen bilateral relations. Iraq, Spain sign security deal not only to improve security ties but also to enhance joint efforts in fighting crime and terrorism.

The agreement covers a broad range of issues, including counter-terrorism, combating organized crime, drug trafficking, human trafficking, extortion, and other serious offenses. Both sides agreed to share expertise, exchange critical information, and collaborate on criminal investigations.

The pact also includes provisions for technical and scientific assistance, as well as the deployment of specialized teams between the two countries. Officials said the focus will be on modern investigative tools and crime-fighting technologies.
