Iraq Extends Formal Summit Invitation to Djibouti

Baghdad – Iraq’s Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari delivered an official invitation to the President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, on behalf of Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, inviting him to attend the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad on May 17.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the broader scope of bilateral relations, with a particular focus on cooperation in the security sector. Minister Al-Shammari emphasized the significance of Djibouti’s participation in the summit, highlighting Iraq’s commitment to fostering stronger regional partnerships and collective dialogue among Arab nations.
