At a joint press conference following the signing, Hussein emphasized the significant opportunities to enhance cooperation between Iraq and Morocco. He highlighted the importance of launching direct flights between the two countries to facilitate movement and strengthen economic and investment relations. Hussein reiterated Iraq’s support for the territorial integrity of Morocco and its policies in many global matters.

The discussions between the two ministers also covered political, economic, and trade matters, as well as regional and international situations, particularly focusing on the Palestinian issue and recent developments in the Middle East.

Bourita, in his remarks, acknowledged that Hussein’s visit was a testament to the strong bilateral relations between the two countries. He noted the significant progress made in recent times, particularly with the reopening of embassies, which reflects the deepening ties between Iraq and Morocco.
