Iraq and Egypt Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Emergency Arab Summit Preparations

Baghdad, Iraq- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein met with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdel Ati, to discuss the preparations for the upcoming emergency Arab Summit in Cairo.

During the meeting, held at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the New Administrative Capital, the two leaders explored ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in various sectors. They also discussed several regional and international issues of common concern.

Minister Hussein reiterated Iraq’s strong commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in securing their rightful claims, establishing an independent state, and rejecting their forced displacement. He also emphasized the importance of regional cooperation to address shared challenges.

Furthermore, they reviewed the ongoing preparations for the emergency Arab Summit set to take place on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, which will focus on the latest developments surrounding the Palestinian issue.
