Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalai, representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, declared on Monday that the Gaza conflict is not just a Palestinian issue. Instead, he said it touches every land that values dignity and justice. He emphasized, “We are all concerned with this conflict.”
The Sheikh welcomed delegations attending the Fourth International Al-Aqsa Call Conference. This event takes place under the Holy Shrine’s auspices and includes religious, academic, and media figures from many Arab and Islamic countries. The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein confirmed the news in a statement shared with the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Karbalai expressed deep gratitude to the attendees who traveled despite many hardships. He praised their presence as a sign of support for the oppressed in Gaza, Al-Quds, and the West Bank. He urged everyone to listen carefully to the calls for help coming from these regions. “We must activate our minds, hearts, and consciences,” he added.
He explained that the conflict goes far beyond Gaza or the West Bank. “This conflict is between two approaches,” he said. One defends human values, rights, and the oppressed, while the other represents arrogance and brutality. He stressed that this battle is a fight for justice worldwide.
Al-Karbalai warned that this is not a matter confined to Palestinians alone. Every human carries a sense of truth and justice. “We are all concerned with this conflict,” he stated. He also reminded everyone they would be accountable before God for their actions or inaction.
True victory, he argued, does not come from destruction or death. Instead, it lies in patience, sacrifice, and steadfastness in principles. “The number of martyrs or destroyed homes is not the real measure,” he said. “Victory means perseverance and faithfulness until the end.”
He warned that ignoring the conflict is a serious mistake. The violence in Gaza and Al-Quds threatens values and future generations. The starvation, killing, and displacement attack our shared principles.
Al-Karbalai asked people to honestly evaluate their contributions to the cause. He said, “At least, we can raise our voices, educate others, and act in international forums.” Even if military or financial help is limited, people must show faith through words, prayers, awareness, and action.
He reminded listeners that the battle will be long but should not cause despair. “God Almighty supports those who support justice and the oppressed,” he said. This divine law ensures that steadfastness and sacrifice in Gaza represent a true victory.
Finally, Al-Karbalai urged everyone to support Gaza in any way possible. “Victory comes not only from weapons but from willpower, dignity, and honesty with God.”
