Cat Café in Baqubah Opens for Pet Lovers

Cat Café in Baqubah Opens for Pet Lovers, creating a new space where residents can spend quality time with animals. The café, called Bashona, gives cat enthusiasts in Diyala a chance to enjoy pets without keeping them at home.

Visitors may enter the cats’ area after sanitizing their hands and wearing shoe covers. Others can choose to sit separately and watch from a distance. The café charges 5,000 IQD, or about three dollars, for entry.

Owner Mohammed Omar said the idea behind the café was to bring people and cats together. He explained that the cats’ space is fully isolated and designed for their comfort. Guests can interact, play, and relax with the animals in a clean, safe environment.

The café houses cats that were abandoned by former owners. However, staff rescued these animals, provided vaccinations, and now ensure daily care. In addition, Aya Mustafa, who looks after the cats, shared that she sterilizes, feeds, and cleans them every day. Moreover, she emphasized that the atmosphere remains safe and healthy for everyone.

Cat Café in Baqubah Opens for Pet Lovers with a clear mission: to offer comfort for both humans and animals. Many guests say they feel happy to spend time in a place filled with playful and friendly cats.

Regular visitor Aya Saad said she comes often since many families do not allow cats at home. She described the animals as friendly and clean, noting that the café provides a chance for meaningful interaction.

Families also see the café as a community hub. Children spend hours playing with cats while parents relax with drinks and food. The café blends social bonding with animal care, creating a unique experience for residents.

Cat Café in Baqubah Opens for Pet Lovers not only to entertain but also to raise awareness about animal welfare. By rescuing abandoned cats and creating a safe environment, the café highlights the value of kindness toward animals.

In conclusion, the opening of Bashona café represents more than just a business. It reflects a growing culture of compassion, community, and joyful experiences shared with animals.
