Baghdad International Fair exhibitions showcase Iraq’s cultural and economic growth

Baghdad International Fair exhibitions opened with great momentum, hosting four specialized events that highlight Iraq’s economic and cultural growth. More than 600 companies and publishing houses from different countries are showcasing their products, knowledge, and expertise. This demonstrates Iraq’s determination to strengthen its role as a regional hub for trade, culture, and cooperation.

The Ministry of Commerce emphasized that these exhibitions reflect a clear strategy to attract investment and foster international partnerships. Mohammed Hanoun Karim, the ministry’s spokesperson, said the fairs are designed to create an environment that supports business expansion.

Among the highlights, moreover, is the Baghdad International Book Fair, inaugurated by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani. Furthermore, this cultural event includes 349 publishing houses representing a wide range of countries. Consequently, it demonstrates the importance Iraq places on cultural exchange and intellectual growth.

In addition, three other exhibitions focus on crucial sectors. The Renewable Energy, Oil, and Gas Exhibition presents the latest technologies from 60 companies, both local and international. The Buildings and Construction Exhibition gathers 98 firms specializing in modern infrastructure and urban development. Meanwhile, the Health Exhibition includes 141 companies introducing advanced medical and pharmaceutical technology.

These exhibitions go beyond displaying products. They create opportunities for knowledge transfer, new partnerships, and practical cooperation. The combination of cultural, economic, and technical events under one fair strengthens Iraq’s position as a dynamic center for business and innovation.

Karim highlighted that the fairs reinforce the Baghdad International Fair’s reputation as a strategic platform. By bringing together experts, investors, and innovators, the exhibitions open doors for long-term collaboration. Furthermore, they attract significant visitor interest, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere for exchange and development.

Ultimately, the Baghdad International Fair exhibitions are more than trade shows. They represent a statement of Iraq’s readiness to engage with the world. Through books, energy, construction, and health, the country is building bridges, showcasing potential, and opening pathways for growth.

The Baghdad International Fair exhibitions reaffirm Iraq’s commitment to progress. With strong participation, the events highlight how cultural and economic initiatives can move the country forward.
