Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Deal Welcomed by Iraq

On Saturday, Iraq’s Foreign Ministry warmly welcomed the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Officials expressed hope that this deal will bring lasting stability and security to the Caucasus region. They believe the agreement will benefit both countries.

The ministry specifically praised the United States for facilitating the negotiations. They reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to peaceful dispute resolution. Moreover, they emphasized the importance of respecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity. They also highlighted the need to promote regional security and development.

This peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan was signed in Washington on Friday. The signing involved U.S. President Donald Trump, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The deal includes a permanent ceasefire, marking a crucial step toward peace.

Additionally, the agreement opens the door to renewed trade and diplomatic relations between the two nations. Both countries mutually recognize each other’s sovereignty, aiming to foster trust and cooperation.

The deal also launched the “Trump Initiative for International Peace and Prosperity.” This initiative seeks to encourage dialogue and collaboration in key sectors like energy and technology. The program aims to build lasting economic ties and stability.

Many analysts view this peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a significant breakthrough. It could serve as a model for resolving other long-standing conflicts. Regional leaders hope this progress leads to greater peace across neighboring countries.

The Foreign Ministry’s statement reflects Iraq’s broader foreign policy goals. Iraq consistently supports diplomatic efforts to settle disputes peacefully. Their stance encourages respect for international law and regional harmony.

In conclusion, the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan represents a hopeful moment for the Caucasus region. Supported by Iraq and the U.S., it could foster peace, prosperity, and stronger regional ties.

Looking ahead, the success of this peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will depend on continued dialogue and practical implementation. Both nations face challenges in rebuilding trust and addressing long-standing issues. However, international support, including from Iraq and the United States, provides a strong foundation for progress.
